  Lil Cabin in the Woods in Cobbly Nob was fantastic. It was a last minute rental and we were pleasantly surprised! The cabin was large enough for 8, three levels, hot tub, and AMAZING views. Plus the location worked out great. very close to Smoky Mtns park entrances yet far enough away from crowds of Gatlinburg. Cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed naps in the hammock from the third level - gorgeous views! Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

  Tina Marie: it's a very nice spacious cabin. Roads and Driveway to it are very very steep. Following the written directions they gave us was better than Google navigation. It's a cabin on a mountain and is as should be expected. Although it would not pass a "white glove" test it was clean and tidy. It is a very short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed our time there very much.

  We stayed in Red Fox this weekend. The cabin was private and cozy, yet close to town. The customer service was great. I especially liked all the red fox art around the cabin. I definitely recommend it!

• Review of "Venture Resorts" at Gatlinburg

  I'm only giving this place one star because the option to give it zero stars is not available. The cabin was supposed to be ready at 4. We were finally told it was ready at 6. When we got to the cabin the cleaning people were still there and we had to wait even longer. The dishwasher was nasty. The water in the hot tub was green and nasty. One of the pool table balls was busted and could not be used. Two of the pool cues were broken. The tap water was brown. The antenna on the radio was broken. And even if the water in the hot tub, which was ice cold, had not been green and nasty, the knob to turn it on and get it started was missing. There was garbage all over the ground where it had been thrown off of the back deck by previous tenants and never been picked up. There were also other problems, but I believe this is enough to paint an appropriate picture of their services. We paid over $300 for one night in this cabin, and we left after eight hours because it was so disappointing. I will never stay at another venture resorts location, ever. Save your money and go to the Black Fox Lodge next time. That's what we're going to do!
